The help section will be an ever-growing resource, with FAQs, but for now please bare with us and give us a shout if you get stuck with anything that isn't listed.

Why can't I use my full name as my username?
Designcoop is designed to protect creatives from the evils of corporate recruitment agencies. If you use your full name, recruiters can potentially bypass the Designcoop's protective forcefield of justice and find you directly - which we've learnt is not always useful.

Why can't my f*@!ing username contain blasphemy or swearing, you b@!*#"&s?!
Think of the children.
-
Why do you ask for my telephone number?
Giving us your telephone number is entirely optional but we ask for it to facilitate better communication - there are alot of websites out there that are email only, giving you the feeling you're involved with robots. We like people and we like talking, plus if an ultra-urgent, super-cool job comes in, we may want to tell you about it as quick as possible!

Is there a limit on file size, file type, or image resolution when adding a project?
Yup - accepted file types, at present, are JPEG (.jpg) and GIF (.gif), with a maximum file size of 2MB.
An image's longest dimension can be no larger than 640px and it's resolution should be 72 dpi.
We plan to increase the file size limit and allow users to upload flash, music and movies in due course.

Why can't I use any links or names that identify my company when I advertise a job?
We let you advertise for free and gain access to our creative rosta, and in return we have a small markup when we match a creative and a job - adding your identity to your job vacancy would circumvent this process and also makes you and our creatives vulnerable to nasty mainstream recruitment agencies.
